»ZITIZ: branding smog« is exploring the influence that designers have on society. The fictional branding for smog, which was deliberately infiltrated and therefore acts as a statement, was designed to create awareness for the need of further dialogue on responsibility in visual communication and design.
Let’s call it designcourage – because it can take a lot of courage to do the right thing as a designer. This can mean anything from standing up for our profession to turning down an unethical designjob. We are responsible for what we design and we should be careful because we design our future.
